bioVidria, Inc. is focused on developing and manufacturing a wide variety of labware used in genetics research based on a novel and proprietary surface technology. This technology can be applied to microarrays, multi-well plates, and other labware critical to research conducted in both corporate and academic laboratories.
The company was founded at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona by Dr. Mary Wirth. Dr. Wirth has published a broad portfolio of articles in a variety of scholarly journals and her work in analytical chemistry has earned her many national awards. Her work also has received over 30 federal research grants during her academic career. The company is now located at the Arizona Center for Innovation, a biotech and high technology business center attached to the University of Arizona.

The company has an extensive pipeline of products that utilize this unique technology and are working with key industry leaders in its development and integration into a large number of end-user applications. The goal of this effort and bioVidria’s, more broadly, is to develop continually a wide array of products based on its novel technology that can meet the growing demand of researchers to get more precise and accurate data and doing so quickly and cost effectively.
